About the Program
Preschool & Pre-K at Bucktown
Our Preschool & Pre-K program serves children ages three through five — a span of years marked by significant growth in language, reasoning, social skills, and independence. Three-year-olds are beginning to ask big questions and work alongside peers. Four-year-olds bring more focus and more sophisticated ideas to their play and projects. Five-year-olds are developing the skills and habits that prepare them for kindergarten — reading readiness, number sense, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a group. As children move through these years, the structure and expectations of the day grow with them.
