Get to know us better…

Thank you for visiting our website and considering L&L Academy and Preschool! We understand that choosing the right preschool for your little one is a significant decision. Our passion for providing excellent communication and top-notch education inspired us to create a nurturing environment for children aged six weeks to six years. We’re excited to be part of your child’s early learning journey!

Our Approach…

While some parents might lean towards the Montessori approach, we are dedicated to guiding children in discovering their interests through pre-planned, thoughtful and engaging activities. Our carefully crafted curriculum is designed to be both fun and educational, helping your child explore the joys of reading, poetry, science, creative movement, and so much more. We believe in creating a vibrant learning environment where every child can thrive and develop a lifelong love for learning.

By nurturing their curiosity and encouraging their creativity, we aim to make each day an exciting adventure in discovery and growth. Join us in this wonderful journey of learning and exploration!

Every Opportunity is a Learning Opportunity…

At L&L Academy and Preschool, we consider every opportunity a learning opportunity. Knowing and understanding that children tend to learn best when they are enjoying an activity, we turn activities into something educational. We will give your children the tools to begin reading, and writing, and confidence for the first day of kindergarten. Your child can do so much only if he/she is exposed to the right environment. We spend the time that your child is under our care ingraining those values, so your child can be ahead of their peers as they pursue Elementary Education. We strive to be the best preschool in Chicago!

The first year (Infants)…

The RIE philosophy (Resources for Infant Educators), established by Magda Gerber, focuses on treating infants and young children with respect, dignity, and trust. It highlights the importance of recognizing children as competent and capable individuals who can begin their own exploration and learning. At our daycare, we adopt the RIE philosophy because we aim to create a nurturing atmosphere where children feel appreciated and respected. By carefully observing and responding to each child's cues and signals, we nurture their natural curiosity and support their unique development. This method helps us build strong, trusting bonds with the children, encouraging them to grow in confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Emergent Curriculum…

Our Emergent Curriculum is designed to ensure that children’s interests and experiences are at the heart of our lesson plans and activities. By closely observing and communicating with each child, our highly trained teachers are able to tailor educational experiences that ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning.

Through this dynamic approach, we create a learning environment where children are encouraged to explore their passions and interests. Our teachers carefully plan activities that not only captivate the children’s attention but also challenge them to reach their next developmental milestones. Whether it’s through hands-on science experiments, creative arts and crafts, engaging storytelling sessions, or interactive play, every activity is crafted to be both enjoyable and educational.

We believe that by nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and providing them with opportunities to explore and discover, we can help them develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning. Our goal is to create a supportive and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and inspired to achieve their full potential. Join us in this exciting journey of growth and discovery, where learning is always an adventure!

Holistic Development…

At L&L Academy and Preschool, our lesson plans are designed to focus on each area of development, from cognitive & language, social-emotional, to fine & gross motor skills. Creative and engaging art, music, and sensory experiences are incorporated into each day to allow our students to explore and manipulate new materials and experiences.

"Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded."
